個人簡介：陳幼佳教授（Dr. Y .Frank Chen），1979年畢業于臺灣成功大學，1988年獲美國明尼蘇達大學結構工程專業博士學位?，F為美國賓夕法尼亞州立大學（The Pennsylvania State University, USA）土木工程系終身教授，山西省“百人計劃”特聘國外專家，太原理工大學特聘教授，重慶大學、中南大學、長安大學客座教授，日本東京大學研究教授。陳幼佳教授是國際著名橋梁專家，多年來活躍在動態土-結構相互作用，橋梁工程，地震評估、減震、隔震和抗震加固，基礎工程，極限設計，抗震、抗風、抗沖擊和抗爆設計等新技術前沿。陳幼佳教授為美國土木工程師學會鋼橋委員會及地震工程技術委員會委員，兼任美國橋梁施工和設計協會董事，美國橋梁與建筑協會、鋼結構工程委員會、地震工程協會、預應力混凝土協會委員以及臺灣中央大學橋梁工程中心技術顧問等職。

報告摘要：Long-span and light floor systems have gained more popularity in practical use. However, they would present annoying/discomfort problems occasionally due to human daily activities (e.g., heel-drop, jumping, falling-into-seats). In this presentation/lecture, research progression on floor vibration over the recent 25 years will be highlighted, including those from Europe, North America, and China, followed by practical applications. In particular, the two important vibration parameters, natural frequency and damping ratio will be discussed along with the vibration acceptability criteria.
